Keeper for a day at the Miniature Pony Centre
Through our ‘Keeper for a Day’ scheme we can offer you a unique opportunity to experience a day in the life of a Animal Keeper.
A Day For A Horse Enthusiast To Treasure Forever!
Full Day Experience: Available from 10am - 4pm £75
Half Day Experience: Available from 10am - 1pm or 1.30pm - 4.30pm £50
Experience days are available from the beginning of May until the end of October, we regret we are unable to offer experience days during the school holidays.
STANDARD FULL DAY ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE...
- Introduction over a tea or coffee
- Bringing in the horses, feeding and grooming
- Preparing feeds to feed and clean out the pigs
- Preparing enrichment for the goats
- Lunch in our paddock view café.
- Cleaning the paddock
- Work at the pets paddock
- Moving ponies
- Filling up the hay racks and water buckets
- Turning out and cleaning out the horses
STANDARD HALF DAY ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE...
- Cleaning the paddock
- Work at the pets paddock
- Grooming the heavy horses.
Activities may be subject to change on the day due to welfare or operational factors.
For Health and Safety reasons and due to the range of activities being undertaken, the 'Keeper for a Day' experience is only available to those over 14 years of age.
We regret the we are not able to offer experience days during the school holidays.
All experience days must be pre-booked.
