The News Today

We are pleased to say that Dan the Hat and Professor Fumble will be back at the Pony Centre again for the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend.

Dan the Hat will be appearing on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May.
Professor Fumble will be appearing on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May.

NEW FOALS AT THE MINIATURE PONY CENTRE

We have had 8 new foals born at the Pony Centre, the most recent was born at 6.00pm on Friday 25th April.

Below are just a few of this season's foals:

Silver Mist has given birth to an adorable black filly foal, who we have named Scarlet Rose Finch (or Scarlet for short).

Rosita has given birth to a bonny chestnut colt (our first colt this year), who we have named Starling.

Lola gave birth to a lovely little bay filly, who we have called Linnet.

Blossom, one of our more experienced mothers, gave birth to another beautiful chestnut filly, and her name is Siskin.

Each year, we have a different theme for naming the foals, and this year the theme is TYPES OF BIRD.

We have a few suggestions for names already, but with 5 more foals due this year, we're likely to need some more ideas for names, so please let us have your ideas for names (if you can e-mail your suggestions to enquiries@miniatureponycentre.com, and we will let you know if we use your suggestion).

As well as the 8 new foals, we've also had some lambs.

ADOPTION SCHEME

At the Miniature Pony Centre we do not have an adoption scheme for our own animals.

However, we do promote the adoption scheme run by the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust. You can contact us for more details or an adoption form, alternatively you can visit the Trust's web site www.dpht.co.uk.
